EGYPTIAN ELECTRICITY -HOLDING COMPANY AL SHABAB POWER PROJECT PHASE II CONVERTING EXISTING SIMPLE CYCLE TO COMBINEDCYCLE -HEAT RECOVERY STEAM GENERATORS AND DC


This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published inProcurement Opportunities, procurement Ref. 7195-GPN-45434, September 26, 2013.

The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) has secured a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (hereinafter referred to as EBRD) to finance the Heat Recovery Steam Generators and Distributed Control Systems Package for Al Shabab Power Project Phase II.

The East Delta Electricity Production Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of EEHC hereinafter called “Owner”, now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderers for performing all works related to, including but not limited to, Designing, fabricating, furnishing, delivery to Site, storing, installing, training, testing, start-up, commissioning, placing into successful operation and maintaining until Operational Acceptance Certificate (OAC), preparing of detailed drawings and Technical documents, preparing as-built documents and putting into service of Heat Recovery Steam Generators and Distributed Control Systems for Al Shabab Power Project Phase II. The delivery/construction period is 690 Days from the execution of Contract.

Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from all countries. The proceeds of the Bank’s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.

Tender Documents for the above Package will be available at EDEPC’s offices on July 12, 2014.  Tenderers may receive the Tender Document by submitting an application, in one original and two copies, accompanied by a payment receipt of US$ 1,000 from National Bank of Egypt (El Ahly Bank), Ismailia Branch, Account No. 11000441395 at the address shown below:

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security of USD 2,500,000, and be delivered to EDEPC’s offices by September 10, 2014 at 12:00 (noon) in two sealed envelopes.  Envelopes A (Technical Envelope) and B (Pricing Envelope) of the Tenders will be opened on the same day immediately thereafter, in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives, who choose to attend, at East Delta Electricity Production Company – Shebeen El kom Street, Araishia Misr, Ismailia, Egypt. Late tenders will be rejected.
