Omar Abdelaziz is a seasoned professional in the field of geology, mining and petroleum, possessing more than 32 years of experience in the Egyptian market. Mr. Omar is the former chairman of the board of directors of Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), a former board member at Industrial and Mining Project Authority (IMPA) – affiliated with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space Sciences (NARSS), Nasr Company for Mining, Misr Phosphate Company, Sina Petroleum and mining services Company (SSCO). Mr. Omar has vast experience in “on field” geological and geophysical operations, concession agreements, licensing for mines, audit of operations of mines and quarries. Moreover, in his position as undersecretary for mineral resources within the Ministry of Petroleum, Mr. Omar participated in negotiations with the board of directors with regards to recommendations for the development of the mineral resources sector, was responsible for planning of performance improvement of all sectors of EMRA. Throughout his career he also undertook titles and responsibilities at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Mansoura Petroleum Company. Therefore, Mr. Omar shares his expertise with clients of Youssry Saleh and Partners operating in the field of mineral resources, oil and gas sector.
