Dr. Tarik Youssef is currently an Assistant Professor of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at the “French University of Egypt” City, Egypt. He also serves as a visiting scholar at the “Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics”, McGill University, Canada. He earned his B.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Ain Shams University; M.Sc from the University of Ottawa (Canada) and Ph.D. from the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. This is in addition to a four-year term as a lecturer of “Engineering Law and Contracts” at the German University in Cairo.

Dr. Youssef’s expertise comprises legal practice with special focus on construction disputes and forensic Engineering. He is an of Counsel at Youssry Saleh law firm, Cairo, Egypt. He has served as a construction disputes’ counsel in more than 10 Construction arbitration cases. He has also served as an expert witness in construction disputes pertinent to FIDIC Contracts. Together with his practice within construction disputes, Dr Youssef taught Engineering legislation and legality of Fidic contracts in the German University of Cairo (GUC). He has participated and presented in several conferences worldwide, including Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, France and Egypt.
